JUNE LAKE — November 2, 2026. Mono County identifies June Lake Public Utility District as the local utility serving portions of the June Lake Loop, including Village, West Village and Down Canyon neighborhoods.
A small high-elevation district
The county says the service boundaries cover about 1,720 acres of developed and undeveloped land at an average elevation near 7,600 feet. The district operates separately from the county general government.
What this means for an address
A person moving into June Lake should determine whether the property falls inside the district boundaries and what utility accounts and deposits apply. An area-wide description is not an account eligibility determination.
Historic infrastructure context
The county notes the June Lake Village developed beginning in the 1930s, with water and wastewater needs expanding as year-round residents and tourism businesses grew. Residents can seek current rate and capital project records from the utility district.
